Stevens Aviation Expands Denver Facility

Citing customer demand, Stevens Aviation has announced the expansion of its Broomfield (Denver) Colorado facility. While Stevens Aviation will remain at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport it has moved into a new facility elsewhere on the field.

“Over the last several months we continually ran out of space to put aircraft in the maintenance hangar. The new location allows us to handle the current growth with room for more,” said Randy Smith, general manager of the Broomfield operation.

The MRO moved from a 13,000-sq-ft maintenance hangar to a 20,000-sq-ft facility with another 3,000 sq ft dedicated to parts and an administrative office, Justin Ramseier, interim director of maintenance, told AIN. “We principally work on the King Air series, the Cheyenne, Avanti, Learjets and Citations. We also stock parts for the King Airs and most turboprops and do teardowns for hot sections.”

The hangar includes an NDT shop, paint facility and NiCad battery service shop. The MRO has 15 employees, eight of them A&Ps. Stevens Aviation also supports the U.S. Department of Defense on a number of depot maintenance, modification and upgrade programs.
