Satellite communications equipment manufacturer Thrane & Thrane introduced its new flagship Aviation 700D at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) last month in Geneva.
The announcement follows parts manufacturer approval (PMA) from the FAA, allowing certification for use on all aircraft and permitting the Danish company to start worldwide shipment of the product.
Aviator 700D provides Inmarsat Classic and SwiftBroadband services in a complete package. The system supports a wide range of communications applications, including in-flight Wi-Fi and voice calling.
Making the 700D more attractive is the fact that it is also Fans 1A and CPDLC compliant. And by satisfying forthcoming mandates for future air navigation, the integration of the new level-D software and hardware offers “a straightforward upgrade for existing level-E Aviator 700 and Aero-HSD+ systems.”
