Aerodynamics Inc. (ADI) and Oakland Air, two of the 11 service providers at Oakland County International Airport in Michigan, have combined their FBO service staffs and facilities but will continue to remain separate entities. The two companies–which occupy adjacent plots at the Pontiac airport–will now share their ramps and hangars, giving them a combined 12 acres of outdoor aircraft parking and 220,000 sq ft of heated indoor storage space, respectively. According to Oakland Air general manager David Lussier, each FBO will retain its existing customers and they will share new customers between them. Shell, the fuel supplier for Oakland Air, was retained to serve both facilities. While both FBOs offer maintenance, aircraft charter, management and aircraft sales, those operations will remain separate, with each company acting as a preferred vendor for the other.
