Sabreliner Opens New Paint Shop

Sabreliner has opened a new $7 million aircraft paint hangar at its Perryville Municipal Airport facilities in Perryville, Mo.

The 32,000-sq-ft facility, sized to accommodate aircraft up to the size of a GIV, includes a large bay for stripping and prep work and another for paint application. The climate-controlled facility features a three-stage filtration system. Workers use an electrostatic paint process that reduces the amount of paint used as well as the total emissions.

Terry Watkins has been chosen the paint operations manager. He was previously employed by Jet Aviation St. Louis.
