NATA Looks To Study Trash
Subject Area

Content Body

In accordance with regulations on the handling of garbage from international flights from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, FBOs and airline service providers are required to obtain proper USDA certification before handling such trash. Concerns from its members about the inconsistencies in the certification process have prompted the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) to establish a working group to address the issue, identify problems and propose solutions. NATA members interested in participating are requested to contact Michael France, the association’s director of regulatory affairs.
