Milestone Aviation Group, the helicopter leasing firm that was co-founded in August 2010 by airplane fractional program pioneer Richard Santulli, has quickly grown to mammoth size. The Dublin, Ireland-based company said its fleet, which ranges from light-twin to heavy helicopters, now includes more than 90 aircraft from AgustaWestland, Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky worth more than $1.3 billion.
Additionally, the company has increased its firm and option orders for new helicopters to more than $2.2 billion. Just last month at Heli-Expo, Milestone placed an order with Sikorsky Aircraft for 23 S-92s and seven S-76Ds, with options for another 14 S-92s and 10 S-76Ds. Also at Heli-Expo, the company announced an order for 14 more Eurocopter EC225s, along with an initial order for five EC175s.
