Ontic Manufacturing Supports Legacy Avionics

Ontic continues to expand its product line, which now includes the manufacture and MRO support of generation two and three electronics and avionics. A company spokesman told AIN it has traditionally provided fuel computers, fuel measurement systems, weather and terrain avoidance radar, wireless smoke detection systems and electronic engine controls.

Gareth Hall, Ontic’s president, said, “Ontic understands that the need for lifetime support of mature electronics and avionics is growing and we continue our key role in that support for the OEMs we serve through licensing and acquisition. This accelerated growth, and our proactive decisions to accommodate it, have resulted in a third of our total business being in electronics. We envision that 50 percent of our future global business base will be dedicated to this requirement.”

Ontic has two electronics and avionics locations: Cheltenham, UK and Chatsworth, Calif.
