Cessna Offers Tip-to-Tail Mx Program for Sovereigns

Cessna Aircraft is offering a program that covers all scheduled maintenance and parts costs for new Citation Sovereigns for the first five years or 1,500 flight hours. According to Cessna, the Sovereign Shield program “practically eliminates maintenance-related direct operating costs” for 2013 Citation Sovereigns, allowing owners to operate the aircraft for “far less” than other midsize business jets.

A spokeswoman for Cessna told AIN, “the program covers purchases of the new Citation Sovereign; legacy products are not eligible.” She also noted that the base price of the Sovereign did not increase. Sovereign Shield includes both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. “Maintenance covered by Sovereign Shield can be performed at [any] of 15 factory-owned Citation service centers or at [any] of the company’s…39 authorized Citation service facilities worldwide,” she added.

According to Cessna, operators covered by Sovereign Shield can save more than $3,500 on a 2,000-nm trip compared with the direct operating costs of midsize competitors.
