California-based Clay Lacy Aviation is seeing the highest growth in its managed aircraft fleet in the company’s history. Over the past six months 15 business jets ranging from a Gulfstream G550 to a Learjet 45XR have joined its corporate charter fleet, which now numbers 75 aircraft.
According to the aviation services provider, the increased demand is evidence of a resurgence in the business aviation market. “As Clay Lacy Aviation celebrates its 45th year of providing aircraft and management services, our clients are showing renewed excitement about owning and flying business aircraft,” said company president Brian Kirkdoffer.
The aircraft are spread not only through the company’s established bases at Van Nuys and Carlsbad-San Diego, Calif., and Seattle, but also at its new locations in Oakland, Calif., and Dallas. Those locations received a Gulfstream GIV-SP and a Gulfstream G200, respectively.
An authorized Aircell dealer, Clay Lacy Aviation recently announced it is in the process of equipping its fleet with the communications provider’s new Gogo Text & Talk service, which will allow passengers on high-speed-Internet-enabled jets to use their personal smartphones for conversation or texting.
