DC Aviation-Al Futtaim (DCAF), a joint venture between Germany’s DC Aviation and the Dubai-based Al-Futtaim group, recently opened the first FBO at Dubai World Central Aviation City. The venture will capitalize on Al-Fattaim’s Middle East presence and DC Aviation’s reputation as a private aviation services provider.
“Being the first business aviation player to set up its facility at DWC is a major milestone for us and we feel privileged to become a partner in the continuous progress of the UAE’s expanding aviation industry,” said Holger Ostheimer, DCAF’s general manager. The new 14,000-sq-ft terminal offers three lounges for customers, along with shower facilities, a conference room, on-site customs service and ample covered parking. The complex also includes a 61,400-sq-ft hangar and nearly two acres of ramp space.
DCAF will offer aircraft management and charter through DC Aviation’s fleet, as well as maintenance.
