AvFab Gets Mexican Approval for King Air Jump Seat

Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) has received Mexican approval for the installation of its STC-approved King Air aft jump seat kits on all Beechcraft King Airs. AvFab received EASA approval in April 2010. AvFab also has approvals from the U.S., Brazil and Indonesia. GR Lowe, AvFab’s CEO, told AIN, “We provide the STC, seat and all hardware. Depending upon the experience level of the technician, the installation takes about 60 hours.” The jump seats fold down from the sidewall of the aircraft in the aft baggage compartment and are interchangeable with the OEM jump seat.
