Honeywell (Booth P310) announced yesterday at ABACE 2014 that it has expanded its Asia-Pacific aftermarket support efforts, thanks to an agreement with Bombardier’s Singapore service center, which will offer retrofit, modification and upgrade (RMU) services for Honeywell products.

The agreement covers RMU services for about 150 existing and new Bombardier business jets that are or will be based in the Asia Pacific region, including the Global Express and Global XRS, Learjet 75 and Challenger series. Upgrades will cover Honeywell Primus Elite 875 glass cockpit displays that replace cathode-ray tube displays, flight management system (FMS) service bulletin upgrades, satcom systems including Inmarsat Aero H, Aero H+ and Iridium and the Ovation Select cabin management system. The FMS upgrades incorporate three key NextGen features: Future Air Navigation System (FANS), WAAS LPV GPS and ADS-B.

“As the Asia-Pacific business aviation market grows,” said Andy Gill, Honeywell senior director Asia-Pacific business and general aviation, “there is an increased need to provide aftermarket support to our Bombardier aircraft operators.”
