328 Design is offering what it claims is the world’s first certification of a four-channel SwiftBroadband upgrade aboard an Embraer Legacy 600. ABS Jets completed the installation following the recent award of EASA certification with FAA and TCCA validation. The modification enables a range of advanced communication features provided by SwiftBroadband. These include user management, providing passengers with service profiles befitting their rank to manage data bandwidth; data compression and acceleration; dual X-Stream channel aggregation with a guaranteed data speed rate up to 800 kbps; in-flight smartphone voice communication and audio/video on demand Wi-Fi streaming to the passengers’ own mobile devices.
