StandardAero marked the redelivery of its 100th PW100 engine serviced for Swiftair during an event held recently at the airline’s headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

The 100th engine serviced represents a milestone for the two companies, which established their partnership in 2000. “Over the past 14 years we have been the main PW100 service provider for Swiftair, and we have seen it grow to become one of the largest ATR operators in Europe,” said Laurens Leijten, StandardAero Swiftair program manager.

StandardAero provides Swiftair with engine MRO and fleet management services from its European service center in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The 100th PW100 engine was re-delivered after servicing at StandardAero’s Winnipeg facility.

Swiftair operates scheduled and charter, passenger and cargo flights in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Established in 1986, Swiftair has more than 400 employees and a fleet of some 30 aircraft, including the 737, MD-83, ATR 42/72, Brasilia and Metroliner.
