Emteq Joins BE Aerospace Portfolio

BE Aerospace (BEA) bought Emteq Corporate and its subsidiaries. Emteq provides aircraft interior and exterior lighting, as well as cabin management and power systems. BEA sees Emteq’s lighting, cabin management and power systems as highly complementary to its own product lines. Peter Savino, BEA’s director of supply chain, believes the takeover will allow expansion of BEA’s product and service offerings in both the airliner and business jet markets through “technology crossover and additional product and service offerings in numerous aircraft platforms.” Over the next several months BEA will undertake an integration process aimed in part at identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth and savings through the companies’ “significant synergies,” Savino said.
