New York City-based Apollo Jets became the first Argus Certified Charter Broker last week after proving compliance, via an on-site audit, with “a recognized set of industry best practices.” It also had to demonstrate knowledge and compliance with any “applicable regulations or standards that are imposed upon a charter broker,” Argus added.

“We are proud to welcome Apollo Jets as the first Argus Certified Charter Broker,” said Argus president and CEO Joe Moeggenberg. “Apollo Jets validated our program as both demanding and rewarding, as it inherently improves business for the broker as well as the charter operator’s and end customer’s experience.”

Under the program, Apollo Jets uses the Argus Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) system to provide clients with relevant safety data and information about the charter operator, including its pilots and aircraft. Apollo Jets is the first charter broker to achieve both levels of recognition: registered and certified. A registered broker provides Argus with documented proof of specific requirements and annually pledges its commitment to adhering to industry best practices and applicable regulations. A certified broker takes this one step further by undergoing an on-site audit once every two years to prove compliance.
