The HondaJet, with its unique over-the-wing engine mount configuration, was selected by Popular Science as a “Best of What’s New” award winner for 2014 in the aerospace category. According to Honda Aircraft, “The HondaJet was recognized for its superior combination of performance, fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.” Certification of the twinjet is expected early next year. Meanwhile, a HondaJet demonstrator recently visited Banyan Air Service at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Executive Airport for the first time. Banyan was tapped as the HondaJet dealer for the Southeast U.S. in August.
