Content Body

William Weygandt, former owner and president of Weco Aerospace Systems, Inc. (WECO), was sentenced to 30 months in prison last July for conspiracy to commit fraud involving aircraft parts. On November 13, Weygandt, appearing before in a U.S. District court in Sacramento, Calif., was also ordered to pay $600,000 in restitution to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation for losses relating to that criminal conduct in which his employees regularly failed to follow FAA regulations in repairing and overhauling aircraft parts. The FAA said Weygandt also falsely certified that those parts met agency standards.
