The time spent writing a 500-word essay might be the only cost for some lucky aviation students interested in attending the 11th annual CHC Helicopter Safety & Quality Summit in Vancouver in March. Applications and essays for the Dr. Peter Gerdiner student grant must be received by January 5. Winners will receive grants worth more than C$4,000 to cover the cost of the summit and C$1,500 in hotel and travel expenses.
