FAA To Alter Air Traffic Data Request Procedures

The FAA plans to eliminate a hyperlink on the agency website originally created to expedite the handling of air traffic data requests through the Pilot’s Bill of Rights. Those primarily seeking this data are airmen under investigation related to the approval, denial, suspension, modification or revocation of their airman certificates. The FAA said the hyperlink—[email protected]—has been so burdened with unrelated requests that it is no longer capable of serving its original function. The link will disappear on February 15. Once the link is gone, airmen seeking air traffic data related to a pending case will need to contact the FAA investigator who originally sent the notification of potential certificate action.
