Papillon Group, the world’s oldest and largest helicopter tour company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in operation with the debut of a specially painted and outfitted Airbus Helicopters EC130T2 here at Heli-Expo. The special-edition helicopter on display at the Airbus Helicopters exhibit (Booth 2437) features a commemorative paint scheme in gold with a red eagle; a reverse of the company’s normal red and gold livery and an interior package designed and manufactured by American Aircraft Interiors. Next month it will join the three-generation, family-owned company’s fleet of 75 helicopters, which carry approximately 3,500 passengers a day on tours of the Grand Canyon region.
