Delta Private Jets (DPJ) reported strong sales growth in the first quarter, with charter sales up 46 percent on the same period in 2014 and sales for its Jet Card program increasing 40 percent. In an April 14 statement, the Delta Air Lines subsidiary said that March was a record month for charter sales.
“Our managed aircraft fleet has grown significantly in the past year,” said chief operating officer John Daly. “We continue to add late-model aircraft with state-of-the-art technology and amenities most requested by customers. Our fleet has grown to more than 60 aircraft and we expect to add five or six more in the next two months.”
According to DPJ, much of its fleet growth has been driven by its Ownership Assist program, which provides guaranteed revenues for aircraft owners who fly only occasionally. The program was launched in mid-2014 and 14 aircraft have joined the fleet under these terms since then. Other DPJ profit centers include its Tech Service Center Part 145 maintenance facility and FBO at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
