Jet Aviation is to install a VIP cabin interior on a Boeing BBJ3 ordered by an undisclosed Middle Eastern customer. Under a contract announced on April 14, the jet will be delivered from Jet Aviation’s Basel, Switzerland completions center in next year's first quarter.
The BBJ3 will be used for both private and commercial flights, seating 45 and 19 passengers, respectively, to take account of operating rules. The interior will be covered by a supplemental type certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency.
The cabin is being designed by Jet Aviation’s Basel Completions Design Studio. It will feature a forward galley and crew rest area, a majlis, a master bedroom with a customized bathroom and shower, a cinema lounge and dining area for six. It will be fitted with a full suite of communications and connectivity equipment.
