To better serve its Asia Pacific customers, World Fuel Services is expanding its capabilities with 24/7 trip support operations staff fluent in local languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Melayu, Bhasa Indonesian and Tagalog, by this summer. As part of this initiative, the U.S.-based company will be opening a Shanghai office later this year to further augment its locations in Singapore and Mumbai.

“Given the cultural diversity of the Asia Pacific market and the 24/7 nature of our business, investing in these expanded capabilities ensures that we will be prepared to meet the challenges associated with our long term goals in the region,” noted Michael Szczechowski, the company’s senior vice president of business aviation sales. Here at the show, visitors to the World Fuel booth (P302) can enter to win a prize package each day of the show.

In addition, the company is continuing its contest launched in December at the Middle East Business Aviation Association show, where non-U.S.-based individuals or flight departments that use its Avcard, World Fuel/Colt contract fuel and trip support services will be registered for a chance to win a trip to the UEFA Champions League Soccer Final to be held in Berlin, Germany, in June. Each use of the company’s products before May 20, earns more entries in the contest. New non-U.S. customers who enroll here at the show will also receive 1,000 bonus points in its FlyBuys global rewards program.
