Content Body

Pilots operating aircraft over or near a body of water always face the risk of a potential ditching in the event of power failure. But egress training that turns people upside down in a swimming pool can sometimes produce more anxiety than it prevents. That’s where dry egress training, created by Canadian seaplane pilot Bryan Webster, can prove valuable.

Webster barely survived a water landing, an event that motivated him to create the online course at Egress Training. The study program was designed to help passengers and pilots learn how to survive in a water-landing emergency. The online program is divided into nine segments for pilots and 12 for passengers, each with a video supplement. Each video is also complemented by an assessment portion that allows the participant to answer questions and review the learning material for each module.
