The 2015 NBAA Maintenance Management Conference (MMC), held last week in Portland, Ore, broke the attendance record with more than 800 people attending the annual event. A sold-out exhibit hall also hosted a record 156 exhibitors.
“This year’s conference exceeded all expectations, with the largest exhibit hall to date and a greater-than-10-percent increase in attendance from last year,” said NBAA vice president of operational excellence and professional development Mike Nichols. “This conference is about developing the next generation of business aviation maintenance leaders, providing new tools and skills for current leaders, and enabling those individuals to develop important business relationships and networks."
Several charitable special events were held at the MMC, including a golf tournament, silent auction and raffle for a custom Snap-On Tools toolbox. Proceeds from these events help support the NBAA Maintenance Committee’s Technical Reward and Career Scholarships (Tracs) program. In fact, more than 40 people received scholarships at the conference.
Next year’s MMC will be held from May 3 to 5 in Kansas City, Mo.
