Last year Metalcraft Technologies, owner of the SJ30 program originally launched by designer Ed Swearingen, announced plans to bring the swift light jet back into production. The SyberJet Aircraft SJ30i features a new Honeywell-based SyberVision flight deck and redesigned interior and was slated to enter service this year, followed in 2017 by the re-engined SJ30x with more powerful Williams International FJ44-3A engines and 200 nm more range. Since then, SyberJet has been quiet, but a recent inquiry to the company revealed that the SJ30i is delayed by about a year and is now scheduled to enter service late next year. More details should be forthcoming soon, according to a company spokesman.
