Eugene J. "Gene" Condreras—who spent nearly 40 years serving with his family business, the Panorama Flight Service FBO at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, N.Y.—died on August 23. He was 56. Condreras grew up around the business his grandfather began in 1958 and joined with his brothers Ken Healy and Ed Condreras in the early 1980s.

In 1992, their father, Ted Healy Jr., handed over the business to the three brothers, with Gene Condreras becoming president. Condreras had worked in almost every department by the time he took the reins of the company. He steered the business until he retired, selling the long-time mom-and-pop facility to Landmark Aviation in 2013. At the time, Panorama, which began as a single-airplane New York City-area air tour, had grown to a multi-faceted business that provided charter, management, flight training, maintenance and FBO services on a 21-acre parcel at HPN.

Along with his brothers, Condreras is survived by his wife, Judy, and two children. A wake will be held today and tomorrow evening at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster, N.Y., and a funeral mass is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. The family is asking that donations be made in Gene’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
