Gulfstream Aerospace has beefed up its management team with new appointments in engineering, information technology and finance. Gulfstream promoted longtime employee Brian Durrence to serve as vice president of engineering. Durrence, who reports to Gulfstream senior vice president of program, engineering and test Dale Nale, will be responsible for the strategic vision of the engineering organization. He has served with the company for 25 years, beginning as a structural engineer in 1990. Most recently chief engineer, he has worked on a number of Gulfstream aircraft programs, including the GIV-SP, GV, G450, G550, G650 and G650ER.
In the area of finance, Gulfstream is restructuring as it implements new accounting regulations and standards for its businesses worldwide. Bill Skinner has been named vice president, treasurer and financial planning. Kimberly Benson will succeed Skinner in his former role as vice president, corporate controller. Both report to CFO Dan Clare. Skinner, a 20-year company veteran, joined Gulfstream after serving with international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. Benson, who joined Gulfstream in 2001 as a senior staff accountant, most recently was director of financial reporting, planning and analysis.
Meanwhile, Gulfstream further hired Sheryl Bunton to serve as chief information officer (CIO). Bunton also reports to Clare. Bunton, who will steer information technology across Gulfstream, has held CIO roles for AGCO and Southwire. She also served as general manager for MYTecSoft.
