Next-gen Avionics Upgrade Offered for Falcon 900A/B

Dassault Aviation received FAA STC approval for its “Select II” avionics upgrade for the Falcon 900A/B that brings next-generation air traffic management functions to these legacy trijets. The upgrade, which is expected to earn EASA approval early next year, includes ADS-B _^OUT, Fans 1/A and LPV.

It also replaces existing CRT flight displays with more powerful and reliable LCD displays designed to support electronic moving maps, electronic charts, XM weather maps and other new cockpit features. “With Falcon Select II, a large portion of our older fleet can now take advantage of next-gen technologies, which enhance situational awareness and operational capabilities,” said Dassault senior vice president of worldwide customer service Jacques Chauvet. “And it contributes to increasing the aircraft's value on the pre-owned market.”

Falcon Select II can be installed as a package or à la carte at any Dassault Aircraft Services facilities or authorized service centers. The package is similar to the Falcon Elite II offered since 2013 for the Falcon 900C and 900EX, Dassault said.
