PlaneSense Hopes To Pack PC-12 for Food Bank

Fractional aircraft operator PlaneSense is hoping to fill another Pilatus PC-12 with donated food items to support the New Hampshire Food Bank. The locally-based company began the food drive last year, bringing an estimated 800 pounds worth of food to the NH Food Bank in Manchester, N.H., last December. New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan and Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas were on hand to help unload the cargo last year.

Company president and CEO George Antoniadis, who flew the cargo to Manchester last year, will once again fly the PC-12 on December 9 to deliver the donated goods. NH Food Bank officials, members of the Pease Development Authority and local politicians are expected to greet the airplane.

PlaneSense, which estimates that one in nine New Hampshire residents is in need of food assistance, is asking for donations to be delivered by the close of business on Monday (December 7) to its headquarters at 115 Flightline Road in Portsmouth, N.H. “Our end-goal is to not only fill a Pilatus PC-12 with food, but to contribute as much food as possible,” the company said. Items sought included canned meat, soups/chili, nuts, pasta/noodles, beans, rice, peanut butter/jelly and macaroni and cheese.
