StandardAero recently completed its first certified ADS-B retrofit for an Embraer Legacy 650 at its Los Angeles International Airport MRO facility. Along with the ADS-B installation, StandardAero also completed a full Waas GPS upgrade. Both upgrades were performed through Embraer Service Bulletins.


“We continue to see an increasing number of requests for our affordable ADS-B solutions for a wide variety of airframes,” said Jerry Sanders, avionics product director for StandardAero Business Aviation. “As a result of these recent upgrades, this Embraer Legacy operator now meets the FAA and Eurocontrol’s 2020 ADS-B mandate.”  


The upgrade will increase fuel efficiency through better aircraft routing, as well as increase safety and situational awareness for pilots.
