Content Body

FlightSafety International has added Gulfstream G650 controller pilot datalink communication (CPDLC) to its series of eLearning courses and CPDLC iFlightDECK subscription-based application. The three-hour eLearning CPDLC scenario-based course familiarizes pilots with CPDLC/ADS-C operations in normal and abnormal situations. It runs through a flight planning phase, as well as flights over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

FlightSafety said its iFlightDECK app provides customers with online access to the latest information to understand and operate their aircraft safely and efficiently. The Gulfstream G650 CPDLC app presents a series of CPDLC and ADS-C tasks via an interactive representation of the Gulfstream G650 cockpit. The virtual FMS enables pilots to engage in CPDLC and ADS-C operations as they would in the actual aircraft, according to FlightSafety.

The company also offers CPDLC eLearning courses for the Bombardier Global Express/5000/XRS and Challenger 300, 350, 605 and 650; Dassault Falcon 900EX, 2000 and 7X with EASy II; Embraer Legacy 650; and Gulfstream G280, G450 and G550. It also has a similar course for the Garmin G3000 and G5000 avionics suites.
