Airbus has firmed up a recently announced commitment from Germany-based K5 Aviation for an ACJ319neo. K5, which currently manages three ACJ319s that are offered for charter through partner Vertis Aviation, will take delivery of the green aircraft in second quarter of 2019. K5 still must select engines and cabin outfitter. 28 East, which is jointly owned by K5 and Vertis Aviation, managed the acquisition of the newest ACJ.

Airbus launched the ACJneo family during EBACE in May with an order from Farnborough-based operator Acropolis Aviation for the ACJ320neo. That aircraft will be delivered in 2018 and outfitted for 19 passengers. Airbus also in June had announced that Riyadh-based Alpha Star had placed a commitment for an ACJ319neo for delivery in the second quarter of 2019. K5, however, is the first to firm up the order and will be the first to operate the type.

The neo series is fitted with more efficient engines, wingtip-mounted sharklets, and upgraded fuel and baggage capacity.
