Content Body

Global Aircraft Interiors of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., is refurbishing a GV and upgrading its onboard entertainment system to include a Blu-ray DVD player and 20-inch HD monitors. At NBAA in November Global president Robert Roth bemoaned low demand for full cabin improvement projects, but he’s “really seen things turn around in the last months. [Owners are] stepping up to the plate and doing complete refurbishments, instead of putting band aids on the interior.”

Roth reported growing demand for “more personalized interiors; people are going for exactly what they want with customization.” He cited a Citation 560 refurbishment scheduled for induction this month that will feature “a modern European look with bold colors.” In addition to adding a Wi-Fi system and new CMS, the interior will sport a black piano finish on the woodwork, LED lighting and custom-made leather from Aeristo, with multiple stitching patterns in the seats.
