Private charter booking platform PrivateFly is integrating Rockwell Collins’ ArincDirect Flight Operations System (FOS) with its software to allow a greater number of operators to provide instant flight quotes to customers. PrivateFly is already integrated with several other flight operations systems, but the connection with FOS will be a benefit to more than 300 Part 135 operators, many of them in the U.S. market.
PrivateFly is already integrated with 10 other leading flight operations systems and the connection with FOS has been achieved through a new application programming interface. The platform allows end users and travel planners to search and compare charter pricing from a global network of 2,500 operators. For the UK-based company, the U.S. market now represents about 35 percent of its business and it expects this to grow through the connection with FOS, which PrivateFly CEO Adam Twidell said gives operators, “the opportunity to quote for our fast-growing pool of flight requests quickly and easily, from within their existing scheduling software, and without interrupting their workflow.”
