Long Island, N.Y.-based start-up charter Bliss Jet will begin offering individually ticketed private jet flights between New York Westchester County and London Biggin Hill Airports starting in September. President and CEO David Rimmer told AIN that the company is currently contracted for a Gulfstream IV operated by Argus Platinum-rated Jet Access under a public charter approval from the U.S Department of Transportation, but it is expected to add other aircraft and other operators before service begins.
The regularly scheduled flights will depart New York on Sunday nights, with returns slated for Friday afternoons. Seats on the 14-passenger twinjet will cost $11,995 each way, and the company said it will limit seat sales “well below” the maximum aircraft capacity to provide extra comfort. Passengers will be able to choose custom meals from an extensive menu and enjoy a variety of in-flight entertainment options and worldwide Wi-Fi. The company will also offer concierge services to arrange ground or helicopter transfers, as well as additional aircraft charters.
“We are offering the advantages of a private jet experience on optimally scheduled flights that bypass the ineffiencies of business-class travel,” said Rimmer.
