Applications are due September 1 for Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA) scholarships worth $75,000 to use for leadership development, training and certification purposes. The scholarship awards ceremony will be held on November 2 during the 70th Annual NBAA Convention in Orlando, Fla.
Among the corporate aviation scholarships available are $1,700 for international flight procedures training from Air Training; Cessna Citation Ultra or Bravo type rating worth $21,400 from FlightSafety International; three $3,000 hybrid aviation dispatcher courses from Universal Weather and Aviation; and a $22,000 Citation 500-series type rating from CAE SimuFlite.
“As a recipient of a WCA scholarship, I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity it offered me to expand my education in business aviation,” said WCA president Isha Jordan. “I cannot emphasize enough the importance of taking advantage of the more than $75,000 in professional development funds.”
Applications must include a 500-word essay, two letters of recommendation and certificates, transcripts and résumés. Applicants must also be current, dues-paying WCA members.
