Bombardier Business Aircraft marked the 15th anniversary of its Dallas training center last week. The facility—which offers on- and off-site courses for Learjet, Challenger and Global pilots and maintenance technicians—has trained more than 45,000 customers since opening in 2001. Last year alone, customers logged more than 21,000 flight-training hours in simulators at the Dallas center, Bombardier said.
Located on the west side of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the 82,800-sq-ft facility has six level-D full-motion simulators, two flight training devices, six flight management system trainers, 21 classrooms and “numerous” part-task training devices. Pilot and maintenance training currently offered there includes the Learjet 40/45/70/75; Challenger 300/350 and 604/605; and Global 5000/6000 with the Bombardier Vision flight deck. Training is certified by the U.S. FAA, Europe's EASA, Transport Canada and China’s CAAC, among other civil aviation agencies around the world.
"We are the only business-aircraft OEM offering full-suite flight and technical training on products in-house, with instructors at both our Montreal and Dallas facilities,” said Andy Nureddin, the vice president and general manager of customer services at Bombardier Business Aircraft.
