Charter membership firm Wheels Up has launched a private “Same Day Game Day” shuttle that allows members to purchase seats on flights to and from select college football games. These shuttle flights—operated by partner Gama Aviation using Wheels Up’s King Air 350i twin turboprops—are scheduled to arrive two hours before kickoff and return one hour after the game ends.
The shuttle started this past weekend with the Louisville versus Syracuse game, with a flight from New York to Syracuse. Future shuttle flights include Atlanta to Oxford, Mississippi, on September 24 for Georgia versus Ole Miss; New York to Ann Arbor, Michigan, on October 1 for Wisconsin versus Michigan; Nashville to Athens, Georgia, for Tennessee versus Georgia, also on October 1; Atlanta to Tallahassee, Florida, on October 29 for Clemson versus Florida State; New York to Boston on November 19 for Yale versus Harvard; and New York to Columbus, Ohio, on November 26 for Michigan versus Ohio State.
Wheels Up plans to add more shuttles throughout the season. In addition, Wheels Up members can propose a “shared flight” to any college football game through the company’s app and split the cost of travel with other members traveling to/from the game.
