Content Body

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 1108 filed a motion for contempt and injunctive relief against Flexjet and Flight Options on Tuesday, claiming the company’s continued failure to bargain in good faith with the Teamsters. IBT 1108 represents the more than 600 pilots at Flight Options and Flexjet, which operate under the umbrella of aviation conglomerate OneSky Flight.

This latest move comes after a favorable court ruling for the Teamsters in May, in which the presiding judge compelled Flight Options and Flexjet to bargain and negotiate in good faith. However, the IBT said the company has “failed to comply” with that court order.

The motion for contempt was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio Eastern Division. A date for a preliminary hearing is pending.

At press time, Flight Options/Flexjet did not yet have a statement available.
