Honda Aircraft’s new light jet, the HA-420 HondaJet, is making its Middle East debut in two weeks at MEBAA 2016 in Dubai, according to an announcement yesterday from the Greensboro, South Carolina-based company. A red and silver HondaJet will be on public display during the event.

“We are excited to display the HondaJet at MEBAA for the first time, where its high speed, quiet and comfortable cabin, sporty styling and handling have appealed especially to Middle East prospects and aircraft enthusiasts,” said Honda Aircraft president and CEO Michimasa Fujino. He said the aircraft has a “range that connects the entire Arabian Peninsula," adding, "this region could benefit from this aircraft and our show presence will help us determine the best timing of Honda Aircraft’s entrance in the Middle East market.”

The $4.85 million HondaJet, which features a unique over-the-wing engine mount configuration, is currently offered for sale in the Americas and Europe through the HondaJet dealer network. According to GAMA data, Honda Aircraft has delivered 18 HondaJets since the light twinjet entered service last December. So far, the aircraft has racked up certifications from the U.S. FAA, EASA and Mexican DGAC.
