Aircraft modification specialist Field Aviation has partnered with Aselan, a Turkish armed forces foundation company, to develop a special-mission platform based on the Bombardier Challenger 605. Field believes this new project, which will leverage its experience in modifications on the type, will be the first of multiple aircraft produced by the partnership.

“At Field Aviation, we are experts in integrating and certifying complicated mission systems into many aircraft platforms,” said Brian Love, Field’s COO. “This is a very complicated program where Field is once again being challenged to create unprecedented modifications, and we will deliver.”

The current program will require modification of the large-cabin twinjet, including a missionized interior with multiple operator stations, and several critical aerodynamic changes. Field also manufactures parts for both OEMs and out-of-production aircraft, and specializes in aircraft cabin reconfiguration.
