Greenwich AeroGroup subsidiary Western Aircraft is now a dealer for the Advent Aircraft Systems eABS anti-skid braking system for the Pilatus PC-12 and Beechcraft King Air B200 and B300 turboprops, the first such system to be available for those aircraft. The first eABS was installed in 2013 on an Eclipse EA500/550. More than 100 of the systems have been installed to date.
According to Boise Idaho-based Western, which in addition to its MRO business operates an FBO at Gowen Field, the eABS is an affordable, lightweight and easily installed system that requires no change to the aircraft’s existing brake system. It provides improved braking performance in all conditions, reduces the risk of blown tires, lessens prop erosion and FOD ingestion, as well as allows for hard braking at touchdown speeds.
“We are proud to have Western Aircraft, the largest Pilatus PC-12 dealer in the world, selling and installing the eABS,” said Tom Grunbeck, Advent’s vice president of marketing and sales.
