Content Body

Aerospace physiological support services provider Delta P will hold an all-day flight physiology course for helicopter operators at Heli-Expo 2017 in Dallas. The course, to be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 6, will be presented by Dr. Dudley Crosson, president of Delta P and expert on aeromedical needs of flight crews and related personnel.

According to Crosson, the professional education session will focus on the latest research and developments on topics, some of which are “very misunderstood,” that over the years have led to numerous helicopter accidents and pilot deaths. Subjects include the deadly side effects of fatigue and sleep deprivation; negative effects of energy drinks; how stress can hinder pilot decision-making; and inner-workings and physiology behind spatial disorientation.

Pre-registration is required, and seating is limited. The course costs $475 for HAI members and $695 for non-members, but there is a nearly 25 percent discount for those who register before January 30.
