Ruag Aviation recently demonstrated the wide range of its capabilities last week when it successfully completed a cabin interior refurbishment on a Bombardier Challenger 604 while the twinjet was in its facility undergoing a heavy-maintenance check. The aircraft was returned to the Middle Eastern customer on schedule, the company reported.

The interior project was completed at the same time as a 192-month inspection, it said. The decision saved the customer time and money, noted Mark-André Mann, the Swiss MRO provider’s head of business jet sales. “Our Challenger 604 technical expertise and our specialists for cabin interior refurbishment combined their efforts, achieving the entirety of the project within just 10 weeks.”

The company’s in-house aircraft painting and mechanics shops supported all work related to the heavy maintenance check, while the cabin refurbishment included all soft goods, leathers, fabrics and carpeting.
