QTPod, a sister company to Epic Fuels, has unveiled its latest generation of self-serve aircraft fueling terminals, designed and built to withstand the harshest weather conditions. The new M-4000, which is making its debut this week at the 2017 NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference (SDC) in Ft. Worth, Texas, features multiple options for card processing, including cellular, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. The system’s web-based software enables management access from any device and allows for transaction reconciliation in real time, giving operators access to all transaction information to effectively run fueling operations 24 hours a day.

Design features include a backlit touch keypad and a large display, readable in sunlight with autodimming. Housed in a stainless steel cabinet, the M-4000 can control up to eight separate dispensing pumps. The manufacturer is currently accepting orders for deliveries beginning in April.

“We sought input from our customers, distributors and end users when we were designing the next-generation of self-serve fueling terminals," noted Matt Duncan, QTPod’s general manager. “Many of the features of the M-4000 are a result of that feedback, plus years of research and experience in building one of the most widely used self-serve terminals, QTPod’s M-3000 unit.” He added that in cases of upgrades from the previous unit, the M-4000 fits precisely over the foundation of the older model, simplifying installation.

Also at SDC, Epic will be hosting professional aerobatic and air-race pilot Anthony Oshinuga, who recently became an ambassador for the fuel provider and the Epic Card. Oshinuga, who finished in second place in the biplane category of last year’s Reno National Championship Air Race in his custom Pitts Special S-1S “Black Hawk,” will be signing autographs for show attendees.
