Content Body

Surf Air is launching service to a new location—San Diego Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (MYF). The airport is the closest to downtown San Diego and much nearer to the downtown area than Carlsbad, which Surf Air also serves. Surf Air is a California-based Pilatus PC-12 charter operator that offers members unlimited “all-you-can-fly” trips between airports that it serves for a monthly fee of about $2,000.

The new MYF service flies between San Diego and Hawthorne Airport near Los Angeles—a 30-minute flight—and it begins operations this spring. Flights will depart daily from MYF at 6:00 a.m., 8:10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m and 8:40 p.m. Hawthorne to San Diego trips depart at 7:05 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 2:35 p.m., 7:35 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Surf Air also flies to the San Francisco Bay Area (San Carlos and Oakland), Truckee Tahoe, Napa, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Carlsbad and Palm Springs. The PC-12s carry a maximum of eight passengers, and trips can be booked just minutes before departure. All flights are handled at FBOs at the airports served.
