Flexjet Ltd., the UK sister company of U.S.-based Flexjet, today welcomed the first aircraft—a Nextant 400XTi—to its dedicated fleet. It plans to have three of the remanufactured light jets in this fleet by the end of this month and about 10 dedicated aircraft, including at least one larger business jet model, within a year. The company also currently has five managed aircraft on property.
Its dedicated fleet will be made available to U.S.-based Flexjet owners who need point-to-point private jet travel within the region or to the Middle East or Africa. Flexjet Ltd. is also exploring offering its dedicated aircraft for charter through “select” European charter brokers.
The aircraft are being operated under Birmingham Airport-based FlairJet’s UK CAA air operator certificate (AOC), which Flexjet Ltd. acquired in August. Flexjet Ltd. CEO Ray Jones told AIN that the company will continue to provide aircraft charter and management services alongside flight services for North America-based Flexjet customers via the dedicated fleet.
