China’s Hubei Tongcheng General Aviation Co. Ltd. today ordered a pair of Bell’s new 505s. The customer, which is based in the central China province of Hubei, intends to use the two single-engine rotorcraft for agricultural pesticide spraying.
“We were thrilled to begin delivery of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X this year and proud to continue to see an outstanding global demand for the aircraft,” commented Patrick Moulay, Bell Helicopters executive vice president for global commercial sales and marketing. The new model was launched in 2014.
The purchase agreement was signed on the second day of the ABACE show in Shanghai. Hubei Tongcheng General Aviation already operates two Bell 206B-3s, as well as a pair of Airbus Helicopters A350B3 and an AS350B3E.
